Playmates Toys is a toy manufacturer that has produced a number of lines of Simpsons action figures, vehicles and accessories from 2001 to the present day. These action figures are articulated so that you can move them and also come with something called Intelli-Tronic Voice Activation, whereby many phrases, voiced by the actual Simpsons actors, can be actioned when the figure is placed into one of the environments that are also sold separately such as Moe's Tavern, or the Kwik E Mart.

There have been numerous series of these Simpsons characters, quite a few different variations of the main characters in different outfits with different phrases and also quite a few of the minor characters.

The Bowl-a-Rama Environment was one of the Playmates Environments in the Simpsons series that coukld be used with action figures from all the series. Each figure when placed on a pin in the environment would say a certain individual phrase.

The Bowl-a-Rama Environment set came with a Pin Pal Apu action figure and features a Bowling alley with scoreboard, a console, a ball return and lane.
